2021 Interim ESG Special Report of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China
The 2021 Interim ESG Special Report of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China was released to the public. The Report is prepared with reference to the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) of the Financial Stability Board, The Ten United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Principles, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among others. It also meets the requirements set out in the Guidelines of Shanghai Stock Exchange for Environmental Information Disclosure of Listed Companies promulgated by the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Guide by The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and other related opinions and guidelines.
The Report consists of seven sections: “Governance”, “Sustainable Risk Management”, “Sustainable Finance”, “Inclusive Finance”, “Privacy and Data Security”, “Consumer Protection” and “Human Resources Development”, highlighting the Bank’s efforts in ESG governance and planning, risk management, green finance, inclusive finance, FinTech, customer service, employee care, as well as contents of ESG performance, investor relations.
